Located in Toronto, Canada, the Hope lab is based at the University Health Network’s Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

Our research program is focused on dissecting the molecular regulation that underlies the self-renewal of normal hematopoietic stem cells and their malignant leukemia stem cell counterparts. In doing so we aim to identify the processes that when dysregulated lead to leukemic transformation and relapse and therefore represent critical therapeutic targets.

We take a multidisciplinary approach grounded in studies with primary human cells that capitalize on functional genetics, global approaches to map gene expression at multiple levels and pre-clinical modelling to identify novel stem cell regulators.
